How Do Bosch 3000 and Bosch 6000 Alarms Compare?

Bosch has two different alarm systems that can protect your home or business, the Bosch Solution 3000 and the Bosch Solution 6000. We all know Bosch make great products and are synonymous with quality in Australia, but which of these systems do you need?

Let’s look at some differences:

1. System Size
Bosch Solution 3000:
Suitable for small to medium homes. Supports up to 16 zones. This should cover a standard-sized home with with motion detectors, door/window sensors and possibly 1 or 2 garage zone sensors, etc.

Bosch Solution 6000:
Suitable for larger homes, offices or commercial applications. Supports up to 144 zones. Scalable design suitable for businesses with more than user access and for more complicated security layouts.

2. User Access and Control
Bosch 3000:
Simple user interface. Support for only a few users. Great if you only want access for family members.

Bosch 6000:
A lot more advanced than 3000. Support for up to 256 users with different levels of access and custom user permissions. Perfect for business or large family.

3. Connectivity and integrations
Bosch 3000: Covers the basics of connectivity. Works with optional iFob Control app for remote arming/disarming and status checks, limited integration with smarts.

Bosch 6000: All-in, one highly integrated system. Access control, smart card readers and Ethernet/IP connectivity. A single platform, the management of alarm, doors, and events all in a single app. Fully supported Bosch Remote Security Control app.

4. Touchscreen keypads and interfaces
Bosch 3000: Support for LCD or icon-based keypads. Straightforward to use, but fairly basic.

Bosch 6000: Touchscreen keypads and more customizable options, allowing for your system to be modern and professional.

5. Alarm communication options
Bosch 3000: Optional GSM, PSTN and IP module for back to base monitoring. Great for the budget-conscious home that is wanting monitoring options.

Bosch 6000: Built-in IP communication as standard, more advanced alarm reporting options. Preferred for Grade 3 installations and professional security services.

6. Cost and Value
Solution 3000 is perfect for homeowners who want sturdy protection at an affordable price, without all of the bells and whistles.

Solution 6000 may cost more, but it has enterprise-level security, which is a long-term investment and the commercial security is worthwhile.

In summary, which option do you select?
